Our recommendation model scores each IPO quantitatively out of 100 based on four primary pillars of market sentiment, institutional demand, and financial fundamentals:
1. Grey Market Premium (GMP)
Max 35 PtsMeasures unofficial pre-listing market premium over the cut-off issue price. IPOs with ≥50% GMP receive full 35 pts, while negative GMP gives 0 pts to guard against listing day losses.
2. Subscription Demand
Max 30 PtsReflects real bidding interest during the offer period. Heavily rewards institutional backing (QIB multiple up to 16 pts), retail subscription (up to 6 pts), and total oversubscription (up to 8 pts).
3. Valuation vs Peers
Max 20 PtsCompares the IPO Price-to-Earnings (P/E) ratio against the listed industry average (up to 12 pts) alongside Return on Net Worth (RoNW % up to 8 pts) to reward fairly-priced, capital-efficient businesses.
4. Issue Structure & Size
Max 15 PtsFavours growth capital (Fresh Issue) over promoter exits (Offer for Sale / OFS) and rewards optimal issue sizing for healthy secondary market liquidity.
